Nadia has introduced Puppetry Arts to her activist work. In the “Puppets for Justice!” workshops, participants construct and decorate parade puppets, or puppets for educational/activist purposes. These puppets are used in educational skits, rallies, and pacific marches and protests that demand justice. This project promotes team building, teamwork, creativity, and self-expression. It also provides the youth with a better understanding of the use of art for social change while they learn that they can fight for justice and have a powerful and long-lasting impact thanks to the help of puppets!
